Umbrella

The assignment was to make a readymade. I chose an umbrella as my object I was going to change. What I did was instead of the umbrella being concave like it is supposed to I made it convex making it collect water if used as an umbrella.

Branding

"Sweetie I ironed your shirt but I caught my self thinking about you." That was the joke I made when I was making this shirt. The assignment I had was to use connotation denotation with an iron. So my idea was to use a iron which is used for getting rid of wrinkles and use it the way way you should not use it. By branding and branding shirts.

Skinned

My human skin rugs where about pattern and dehumanization of the form. Cutting out the connection with the viewer and the art by having them not have eyes. The assignment was about skin or not only animals but almost anything that has a surface. I chose the human form because it is a uncommon to see making it unique.

Pebble

This chair/table was "inspired" by penguins. Or at least or my class it was. I explained the form as a pebble. Since the penguin I was a signed was the gentoo, which lays its egg in nest made of pebbles.

The Gridded

This 6ft x 6ft "painting" may look very simple but happens to actually be quite complex. Because what you think are just painted or drawn lines are actually hand stitched. But also interlaced with drawn lines as well.

This was my final for Drawing I, my freshman year at Cleveland Institute of Arts. The assignment was to make a collage as a texture to draw on. My background images contain the map layout of the museum the images come from. As well as some facts about the animal. It showed my gestural and structural quality.

Child's Play Thing

The cover represented the playfulness of toys. While also showing the content
of the book in an abstract form.

This project started with choosing indoors or outdoors. I started with the indoors by deciding to draw my toys on my desk.
Then we had to choose a movie that related to are color them, I chose Toy Story because of its saturated colors.

Next we had to chose an artist to represent. I chose three toy designer.
Then I had a collaboration with my brother and we worked together to create a toy.
On the left is the toy that I created from my brothers ideas and from his drawing. On the Right is two toys I created.
The last page was found items. I used thing that I used to make the book such as pencil shaving and crayons.
